UPDATE: Macomb Township officials and RIZZO representatives met on Monday, October 5 to address several issues that have surfaced with regard to the transition of service.  The following clarifications have been identified:  RIZZO will pick up trash in any container (including bags, bins, cans or carts) and recyclables in any container (clear bags, bins, containers, boxes) as long as trash and recyclables are clearly separated and all is out at the curb by 7am on your designated pickup day. Additionally, any Macomb Township resident who is in need of a recycling container may contact RIZZO directly  to either replace an 18 gallon bin that has been removed by Waste Management* or place an order for the 65 gallon rolling cart* at no cost to the resident.  Rizzo Environmental appreciates your understanding while making their best efforts to complete the transition.
Burn Permits are now available on-line.  Please click here to view the ordinance and application.

The 36 square miles of Macomb Township features beautiful and expansive residential subdivisions surrounded by rural farmland and generous expanses of rolling countryside.  As one of the fastest growing municipalities in the state, Macomb Township presents a tremendous opportunity for developing businesses, and for providing our residents with a high quality of life.

Just 20 miles North of Detroit, Macomb Township is a mix of tranquil agricultural land
with sprawling subdivisions.  This has made Macomb Township one of the most
desirable locations throughout the Detroit metropolitan area.

With our prime real estate for development and outstanding atmosphere, the township’s growth trend
will continue for years to come.  Macomb Township is currently developing the new Macomb TownCenter area.  This project will not only include residential options, but will also provide shopping, dining, and recreational facilities.
