Freedom Of Information Act Cost Policy
FOIA requests are filled by Macomb Township per the following procedures:
The cost of each request shall be limited to the actual duplication, mailing, clerical labor and review costs, including mileage when off site duplication is required. The per page cost $0.05.
Delivery Prior to Payment
Normally, we only give the requested documents to the person after receiving the payment. On occasion, a request will be received to have the documents mailed to the person prior to payment.
The FOIA coordinator must approve this. All requests will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
A conformation letter from requester (mail or fax) agreeing to the stated costs is required.
