Occupied Structure Inspections Guidelines

All inspections must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance.

Anyone who has exhibited flu like symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, or who has been in contact with any person who has tested positive for the Covid·19 virus shall not be allowed to be near an inspector.

Restrict the number of personnel entering the inspection area at the time of inspection, one superintendent or homeowner may accompany the inspector during the inspection process.

6 foot social distancing must be maintained at all times.

Protective masks must be worn at all times during inspections.

A clear path should be maintained to and through the inspection area, choke points and high-risk areas where individuals must stand near one another should be avoided so that social distancing is maintained.

All inspection results will be transmitted electronically, no violation notice will be left on site, only Approval or Rejected stickers will be provided.

An inspector may refuse to start or discontinue an inspection if the safety standards referenced above are not adhered to.
