The new facility will allow the library to better serve its growing population with more space for much-needed materials, an expanded children’s area, study rooms and more. The timing of the decision was symbolic for the library. The Library Board voted to go forward with the plan to build a new North Branch on March 15, just one day prior to the library district’s 25th anniversary. “We’re excited to continue the plan set out by the Board of Trustees over 25 years ago to make the Clinton-Macomb Public Library a permanent fixture in the communities of Clinton and Macomb Township,” said Library Director Larry Neal.
