Message from the Macomb County Department of Roads
Macomb Township has experienced the snowiest winter in 104 years and the coldest in 35 years.
The Macomb County Department of Roads has indicated that the frost has reached a depth of 48 inches.
This will create two areas of concern for roadways in the area.

The first is that open ditches, driveway culverts and cross roadway culverts are frozen solid. Until they thaw, water will back-up and flow over roads and driveways. The County will open culverts when they can but are at the mercy of a significant thaw.

Second as the gravel roads thaw they will become very soft, rutty and in some cases impassable.
Extreme care should be used when travelling these roads.

Any concerns regarding all public roadways in Macomb Township should be addressed to the Macomb County Department of Roads, 117 South Groesbeck Highway, Mt. Clemens. They can be reached during business hours at 586-463-8671.

Please do not call Macomb Township. All Township roads are under the jurisdiction of Macomb County.

Residents who have questions about road maintenance on their local roads must contact the
Macomb County Department of Roads at 586-463-8671.

will continue for years to come.  Macomb Township is currently developing the new Macomb TownCenter area.  This project will not only include residential options, but will also provide shopping, dining, and recreational facilities.
