Front Desk Worker and Building Assistant. You must be 18 to apply. You may be required to work nights and weekends.
Volunteer Application and Background Check
Recreation Center Attendant: Enforce rules and regulations, monitoring activities, maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the entire facility with general custodial duties and frequent customer service contact with patrons. (part time position)
Front Desk: Training required/provided in RecPro software. Duties include membership sign ups, change requests, activity registrations, individual and group daily admission processing, birthday party reservations, membership check-in, Answering patron phone calls and copier/fax machine usage. (part time position)
Lifeguards: Responsible, enthusiastic, hard working lifeguards with great customer service are needed. Red Cross Lifeguard Certification required. This is a part time position. Note: Lifeguard applicants must be at least 15. The department offers CPR and lifesaving training classes to prepare them for their life guarding responsibilities. (part time position)
Collegiate Internship Opportunities: The Macomb Township Parks and Recreation Department offers formal college student internships. Positions are available for Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
Park Attendant: Some duties include maintaining athletic fields, locking park gates, cleaning comfort stations, empty trash receptacles and landscaping. (part time or seasonal position)

Macomb Township Parks and Recreation Employee Requirements
CPR, First Aid, AED, and Blood Borne Pathogen Certifications
Employees will be required to maintain certifications in Community CPR, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogens. The Parks and Recreation Department will sponsor CPR/AED training sessions throughout the year. Employees who need these certifications are encouraged to sign up. All employees must receive these certifications within 30 days of hire.
Persons under 18 years of age must obtain a working permit to work with the Macomb Township Parks and Recreation Department unless they have graduated from High School.
