Frustrated by high water bills? You can help control water rates!
Watering your lawn between the hours of 11:00pm and 5:00am will reduce water used during "peak hours" (5:00am and 11:00pm). Because the Detroit-area water authority uses "peak hours" as part of their calculation of water rates, programming your sprinkler system to operate within off-peak hours helps limit water rate increases for the entire Township. That's why Macomb Township has an ordinance restricting lawn watering to even or odd numbered days (depending on your address) and only between the hours of 11:00pm and 5:00am.
Macomb Township is offering a new FREE service to residents. We will send a technician to assist with programming your irrigation system per the ordinance at NO CHARGE!
